April Tony Wright has taken over from Patrick as Apiary Manager.  His deputy will be Sue Tait.   One of Tony's first job will be to introduce a more "structured" approach to hive management, with four individuals being made responsible for each of the four sections of the apiary hives and an agreed plan for each of the four sections.

Launch of new Branch Name and Logo

At the DBKA AGM, Northern Branch's proposal to change its name to North Devon Branch was finally ratified.  

It's also your last chance to enter the Branch Logo Competition, as the entry will close on 31st March.   Thie winning entry will be selected at the Branch committee meeting on 18th April.

February 100+ Club

Branch Treasurer Kevin Stach has launched the 100+ Club. Members (not necessarily beekeepers) pay £1 month (£12 year) and have the opportunity to win up to £25 each month. The balance of the funds will go to the apiary & the first job will be to convert the small shed into a hygienic area for honey bottling. Please make an extra special effort to make this a success by selling to family & friends.
